LORETO - A Fisherman's Paradise!
Loreto has long been considered one of
the great fishing destinations in Baja California. With 5 islands
in close proximity to Loreto,
we're fortunate to have great year-round fishing for incredible
sport fish - Tuna, Dorado, Yellowtail, Grouper, Sailfish, Marlin,
Cabrilla, Roosterfish - and more.
Torres Sportfishing is based in
the small village of Juncalito, located 24 kilometers south
of Loreto (from Pto. Escondido, we're
4 kilometers north) and this puts us right in the middle of some
of the richest fishing waters in the world.
2005 is shaping up to be a great year
for the Torres fleet. March, April and May were excellent for
BIG yellowtail. One group fishing six days in May (Juan & David
from San Diego) saw BIG yellowtail, Big Cabrilla, Dorado, Sailfish,
a 66# Amberjack, Roosterfish, Red Snapper and Pargo caught duiring their trip. Fishing just doesn't get any better
than this!
In 2004, we saw incredible fishing through
November for large yellowfin tuna, up to 80 pounds and we saw
many days with limits, and lots of fish released. Catalina Island
seemed to be the best spot for these "brutes".
2002 and 2003 was, as our regulars found out, some of the finest
Dorado fishing in the last 20 years! Give us a call today and
book your trip to Loreto!
